Sally says the ‘Survivor’s greatest enemy is FEAR” and learning as much as you can with support can make/break your recovery efforts. Too many women, and men, are being diagnosed with breast cancer yet many choose to be silent – scared, angry and full of “Why me” and “What next” keep them stuck and afraid. Sally turned her pain into her purpose but in between is a lifetime of medical visits, treatments, tears and then POWER in Standing Up and Speaking Up. After Sally’s diagnosis, surgery and treatment, 5 other family members were diagnosed with cancer and due to family history and medical history sharing the family is alive and stronger together. It’s time to create a safe place for “victims” to really HEAR what’s happening to their bodies and what their options for treatments and recovery are after the diagnosis. We all react differently and we all need a hand to hold through our life crises. It’s time to Live Like Crazy no matter what is tossed our way.
