Learn More About I Need Blue and Jen Lee +

I turned around to see a masked man pointing a gun at me. It was just the beginning of a series of events, including robbery and abduction, which changed my life forever.

I Need Blue, hosted by Jen Lee, is a podcast series featuring lived-experiences from survivors of life events. Unbelievable and eventful, the stories expose not only underground crimes, but those happening next door.

Sharing a story can become an important step in the trauma support a survivor needs. Listening to a story can provide the encouragement to make change. Providing resources makes taking the first step easier.

I Need Blue supports our law enforcement and first responders. We recognize their essential need to our communities.

**I NEED BLUE creates space for survivors of trauma to feel the BELONG, are LOVED, UNDERSTOOD and EMPOWERED!

Hi, I’m Debby Montgomery Johnson, your host of Stand Up & Speak Up, a show that is about each and every one of us.

Many of us have something, something we’re hiding, something we’re ashamed of, something that through no fault of our own or through our own making, something that we keep hidden and that, in turn, keeps us hidden from each other and the world.

Good people go through terrible situations, wise people know when and how to let it go. Everything that happens to us helps us grow.  While it may be hard to see it right away, the most important thing to do is to change your perception about your circumstances.

STAND UP & SPEAK UP features ordinary people who’ve been through extraordinary struggles and found the courage to step out from behind their “smiles” and speak up about their experiences and the lessons gleaned from those experiences.

This show came to be after my own "not so good" experience with online dating resulting in a scam that may have taken lots of money from my bank account, BUT I didn't let it take my spirit, my faith or my desire to make a positive impact in the world.  In fact, it actually ignited a flame in me and now I share the light of truth, honesty and vulnerability so that we can all "Stand Up & Speak Up!"

Each week I’ll have a conversation with a special guest who is JUST LIKE YOU…educated, well-trained and a person with a big heart…a person who wants to change the world along with me and we’re going to do that by telling our life’s stories, to include some of the challenges and trials.  Those stories I’ll call “The good, the bad and the ugly!”

We all have something, something that we’re keeping hidden from the world and once acknowledged and forgiven (by ourselves first) we’ll truly heal from the inside out.

Maya Angelou once said, “There’s no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”

Join me as we Stand Up & Speak UP…if we can be there for just ONE person then it’ll be worth it.
