People have asked me (or anonymously criticized) for falling victim to an online relationship scam – a dating scam which was financially one of the most devastating things in my life. This interview with April from Scammer Stories is a valuable cautionary tale for anyone thinking of dating online, working on social media, or even playing games like “Words with Friends.” Scammers are EVERYWHERE and they are very well trained to social engineer their way into our hearts and wallets. Beware and Be Aware and perhaps bring back “Stranger Danger” because we absolutely do NOT know who’s behind the good looking pictures online.
